In the 9th century Oghuz Turks invaded Azerbaijan and forced us to speak Turkish.Imagine if we still spoke our original language (Azari) an Indo-Iranian language... would we still call ourselves Turks? Would we pleasure our rapist (the Turkish)? Probably not.Genetic studies have proven time after time that there is barely no difference between us and Persians, Kurds, Tajiks, Afghans and so forth.We have no genetic similarities in CA Turks or Anatolian Turks... so why do we hate ourselves?

Azeri people are oguz in origin, but it is persians who culturally influenced them to speak persian for thousands of years. The massive barbaric nature of persian tribes caused people to become influenced by this barbaric culture.

@mihankhah I'm Persian and I support the right of Azeri language totally :)I just hope that you understand the fact that Azeri people even though mixed with Turks and speak turkish, but you're backgrounds goes back to ancient Iranic race and culture is still Iranic. Be proud of your Iranic roots and be proud of your Turkish side as well. In Iran we are all mixed and i like this mixture, kurds, loris, laris, azeris, fars, talysh etc. I pay for Azeris and support them against Armenian dogs.
