Troi's sitting there just itching to get her hands on the helm and crash the drive section straight into the saucer, before ramming them both into the nearest planet

The Galaxy Class model is a STBC Mod, to which I converted into 3DS format then into MAX.

You said so in the description that this is STBC

Agreed.

yup :) it would have given the TOS series a lot more fan attraction i mean that combined with the cbs or even the original effects would have made TOS as fun to watch as TNG is in todays time period.
godzilla0083 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
To bad for that. It would've been nice to see.

actualy Gene had intended to have that idea used for the TOS enteprise aswell but it was due to budget reasons that prevented that from being implemented.
godzilla0083 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Glad Gene used those ideas for TNG. The original Enterprise having a saucer seperation would be to weird for me even to watch.

Yeah, Gene roddenberry's original vision of the enterprise was that the saucer could seperate and land on a planet. Thats the constiution class, and also they would use shuttles more frequently. However, due to the cost of ashowing this in every episode they came up with transporter technology instead.
godzilla0083 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
That is correct. Also wasn't the original Enterprise supposed to have a saucer seperation? What ever happen to that? |
