@holodock But if you watch the episode they state that saucer separation at warp is highly dangerous and do not recommend it at all.

@KaboomKrusader2 True but without engaging into debate about the relativistic interpretations of the Newton's laws of motion here I remember a lot of my FTL theory debates about if a separation like this one would be actually possible. My conclusion was that it would be practically impossible because of the need to create very subtle differences in momentums to achieve such fine graded speed differences required for separating things at such high velocity. Ah those were the days :)

If you have a firm grasp on the basics of Trek-science, it's actually pretty cool and makes sense how BOTH separated halves of the ship can still be at Warp even though only one half has the actual Warp Engines.

The NCC-1701-D should have a Torpedo launcher on top of the" head" of it's battle Section.When the ship would fire whole clusters of Torpedoes at the same time I thought that was Neat, Cool and Original |
